Babies need to go light on added salt and butter so set aside a few items for your child before you add the extras. Any cooked fruit or vegetable can be purred in a blender with a small amount of water. Puree turkey with a touch of chicken stock for added flavor.
If your baby has a few teeth, and is comfortable chewing, you can serve softer foods such as cooked sweet potatoes and carrots mashed or cut into tiny pieces.
