Baby Food Giveaway
Most healthy infants are born with enough iron stores to initially meet their needs. By about six months, however, baby’s iron stores start to deplete and breast milk alone can no longer meet his or her nutritional requirements in terms of iron.
Health Canada recommends babies between six and 12 months should be offered iron-rich foods two or more times a day. Iron is an essential nutrient for an infant’s growth and carries oxygen from the lungs throughout the body, including the brain, and helps a baby remember all of the new things learned each and every day.
Baby foods with added iron are one of the best ways for your baby to get the iron she needs. Nestlé Gerber is offering Just The Facts, Baby readers a chance to WIN a “Feeding Time Fun” prize pack, valued at over $100 with special treats including Baby Cereal, which provides 100 per cent of the daily value of iron babies need and give moms an easy and delicious way to offer an iron-rich option at every meal.
The prize pack includes:
- Three boxes of Nestlé Gerber Cereal
- Deluxe Reclining Feeding Seat
- Snack bowls
- Kiddy Cutlery 3-Pc Set
- Babies R Us 10 pack bibs
- Babies R Us – 12-pack super soft washcloths

Eco-Friendly Food Pouches for Babies and Kids
If we had a dollar for every time a package of puree opened up in our purses…we could probably purchase a really nice new purse! So, naturally we were excited to discover Squeez’Ems, handy reusable food pouches that are perfect for purees (or applesauce, or yogurt in kids’ lunches). They’re easy to fill and clean, the screw-top lid provides a 100 percent leak-proof seal and there’s only one piece, so no need to fret over lost parts. Best of all, the BPA-, PVC- and phthalate-free pouches are so safe you can pop them in the freezer, microwave or dishwasher. booginhead.com
