Gillie Beans Fund

We recently discovered the inspiring mom behind the Gillie Beans Fund and wanted to share her story with you. After her daughter Gillian died last June, her mother Janette decided to raise money to research the rare childhood cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma) that had claimed her daughter at the age of eight. Her goal? To improve the quality of life for other kids with cancer – and hopefully some day find a cure. "Gillian was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and we are so thankful for every minute we had with her," says Janette. gilliebeansfund.com
Bows for Babies

Now even the youngest babies can dress up their hairstyles–even if they hardly have any hair. Canadian-owned Baby Wisp specializes in headbands, bows and other accescories that make little girls feel like princesses. Their latest addition–the unmovable latch clip–can fit easily into the smallest tuff of hair and is next to impossible for baby to remove. All bows are also tested and certified lead-free.
Eco Water Bottle

Busy moms need to stay hydrated, which is why we love the new Bobble water bottle. Not only is it a cool-looking place to keep your water, but it actually filters it for you! And we're also happy about its eco-friendliness – the Bobble's reusable carbon filters can be switched after every 300 uses. waterbobble.com
Ain't Misbehavin'

While no expert can totally eliminate tantrums, meltdowns and other crazy kid behavior we’ve found that parenting expert and child psychotherapist Alyson Schafer offers some of the best tips for keeping our kids in check–most of the time.
Her newest book Ain’t Misbehavin’ lists a range of cringe-worthy behaviors including reluctance to potty train, refusal to clean up, and bad manners; then offers simple solutions to help turn their behavior around.
Ain’t Misbehavin’ is a great parenting reference that you can return to again and again. It’s like having an on-call child expert in your home.
Keeping Baby Bug Free

Our babies hate bugs. Unless they’re the cute, non-biting, lady bug kind. Which is why we gladly clipped the Prince Lionheart Love Bug to our strollers to see if it would, as the company claimed, keep biting bugs at bay. The result? To be honest, we’re not entirely sure. We didn’t see many mosquitoes about, but was it because of the noise (mimicking a dragonfly’s wing beat) that the battery-operated Love Bug emits? We can’t say for certain. But what we can say is that the bug is a cute little accessory for stroller, playpen, picnic table – basically anywhere that bugs and babies might meet. princelionheart.com
