Jack Newman, M.D.

Jack Newman, M.D. established Canada’s first breastfeeding clinic in 1984 at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. As the need for his expertise grew, Dr. Newman opened clinics in several Toronto hospitals. In 2006 he co-founded the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic and Institute (NBCI) with Edith Kernerman. Alan Greene, M.D.

Alan Greene, M.D. is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of California San Francisco and is the founder of www.DrGreene.com. Daina Kalnins, MSc, RD

Daina Kalnins, MSc, RD is a registered dietitian at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. She has co-authored several books on healthy eating and nutrition in association with the Hospital for Sick Children, including Better Baby Food, Better Food for Kids, Better Food for Pregnancy and Better Breastfeeding. Dr. William Camann

Dr. William Camann is the director of obstetric anesthesia at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He is also an associate professor of anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, and past-president of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology. Joanne Saab, RD

Joanne Saab, RD is a registered dietitian who practices in pediatrics at McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.  She obtained her degree in Foods and Nutrition at the University of Western Ontario and then completed her dietetic internship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.  Joanne is co-author of three books in conjunction with the Hospital for Sick Children: Better Food for Kids, Better Food for Pregnancy and the best-selling Better Baby FoodBetter Baby Food and Better Food for Kids are both on Indigo/Chapter's "Trusted-Advisor" book list.  Joanne also enjoys being the mother to twin daughters who have taught her a lot of practical how-to on kids nutrition!

Jorge E. Chavarro, M.D., Sc.D.

Jorge E. Chavarro, M.D., Sc.D. is a research fellow at the Department of Nutrition of the Harvard School of Public Health.  He studies the role of diet and lifestyle on reproductive function and diseases affecting reproductive organs, including dietary determinants of sexual maturation, male and female infertility and cancers affecting reproductive organs.  Dr. Chavarro is the lead author of The Fertility Diet (McGraw -Hill/Harvard Health Publications, 12/2007), a fertility how-to based on 8 recent studies from the Nurses' Health Study II, one of the nation's most comprehensive studies on women's health. The findings show that relatively simple changes in diet and lifestyle can prevent and potentially reverse ovulatory infertility. Marjorie Greenfield, M.D.

Marjorie Greenfield, M.D. is a practicing board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). She is currently associate professor on the full-time faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Greenfield's writing career started in 2000, when she became director of obstetrics and gynecology for the Dr. Spock Company, a health and parenting multimedia enterprise. Peter Doubilet, M.D.. Ph.D & Carol B. Benson, M.D. Harvard Medical School Professors of Radiology, Peter Doubilet and Carol Benson are a married couple with five grown children between them. They teach and see patients at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston where Peter is Senior Vice Chair of Radiology and Carol is Director of Ultrasound and Co-Director of High Risk Obstetrical Ultrasound. Together they have written Your Developing Baby (McGraw-Hill, 2008), a pregnancy guidebook that takes its reader through every stage of a baby's development, using 2D and 3D ultrasound images, original explanatory diagrams and reader-friendly prose. Sara Bingham

Sara Bingham is the founder of WeeHands and the author of The Baby Signing Book. Sara completed an honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Ottawa, and has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University. In addition, she has earned an honours post-graduate diploma from Georgian College as a Communicative Disorders Assistant.
