The best defense against outside drug influences remains open communication. But is talking about it enough?

“Parents have all been told to talk to their kids about drugs, and that’s a good start,” says Duchatschek. “But if explaining the dangers of irresponsible choices was enough, then we wouldn’t need police sobriety checkpoints because everyone knows it’s dangerous to drive drunk.”
