6 Things to do Before your Due Date

Tell your boss

When it comes to sharing your pregnancy news at the office, it’s best to wait until your second trimester – and to tell your boss first (not your co-workers), says Nancy Ripton, co-author of Baby Self-Feeding, co-founder of Just the Facts, Baby and a mother-of-three in Mississauga, Ont. This is also the time to find out what maternity-leave benefits your company offers. As for planning your return, don’t make any promises just yet. “Be honest and upfront, but don’t make any commitments,” Ripton says. “You can say you plan on coming back, but always leave a little wiggle room in case you change your mind.”
