t’s relatively common for women to have problems getting pregnant with their second (or third) child, even if they’ve never had fertility issues before. Here’s what may be causing your infertility and what you can do about it:
Irregular ovulation
Irregular ovulation is the number one cause of infertility. In most cases, it makes pregnancy difficult, but not impossible. “I call it the one in 20 count,” says Dr. Shapiro. Women with low fertility (or partners with low sperm count) have a chance of getting pregnant one time in 20. You may have gotten lucky the first time–the second time it may take much longer. Natural fertility boosters such as dietary and lifestyle changes can be extremely successful with fertility issues caused by irregular periods.
