How to Find the Best Prenatal Class
When to book a prenatal class
The key to booking a prenatal class is not to leave it too late. Georgoussis recommends booking a class about halfway through your pregnancy, so that you’re taking it early in your third trimester.
“If you wait too long, the class you want may already be full,” she says. “And if you book it for any later in your pregnancy, you may find it too uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time.” There’s also the risk that you may go into labor early and miss the class altogether.
No matter which prenatal class you choose (or even if you decide to try more than one), Georgoussis recommends taking it with the person who will be at your side when you give birth, whether it’s your partner, a friend, a relative or your doula.
